Sometimes leaving teaches gratitude; sometimes it confirms why leaving was necessary.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Leaving does two things and you rarely know in advance which one it will do. Sometimes the distance shows you what you had and you come back grateful. Sometimes it shows you exactly what you were living with, and the clarity is a relief rather than a loss. Both are useful and neither can be predicted from inside.

If you have left something recently, give it time before you decide which it was. The answer usually settles within a few months and it is worth waiting for.
