Having ten priorities is often another way of admitting you have none.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A list of ten priorities is a list with no ranking, which means when they conflict, and they will, nothing tells you what to do. In practice the choice then gets made by whatever is loudest or most urgent that day. Calling everything a priority is a way of avoiding the discomfort of ordering things.
Take your list and force it into an order, accepting that the bottom items will get less. It feels harsh on paper and it is what actually happens anyway, only now on purpose.
If you cut your priorities down to two, which survive?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
