Metal only bends while it’s hot. Uncomfortable seasons are when you’re easiest to reshape.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Change is easiest when things are already unsettled. When everything is fixed and comfortable, there is nothing to work with, and the periods that feel worst are also the periods where your routines, assumptions and arrangements are loose enough to be put back differently. Difficulty makes you temporarily malleable.

If you are in one of those stretches, use a little of it rather than only enduring it. Start the thing you have been postponing while the usual structure is already disturbed. Restarting an old pattern takes more effort than choosing a new one right now.
