You’re allowed to reinvent yourself more than once. There’s no limit on how many versions you ship.

Nothing restricts you to one reinvention. The idea that you get a single change of direction, ideally early, is a story about tidiness rather than about how lives actually run, and people who look settled have usually changed more times than they mention. Each version can be shorter than the last.

If you are hesitating because you already changed course once, drop that as a reason. Ask only whether this direction is better than the current one. The count is not a thing anyone is keeping.
