Somebody younger is copying your walk, your words and your shortcuts. Give them better ones.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Being watched by someone younger is not something you opt into, and it usually happens without either of you mentioning it. They are picking up your habits more than your advice, including the shortcuts and the way you talk about people. That is a responsibility you never asked for and have regardless. Mostly it means getting your ordinary behavior right.

Choose the habit you would least want copied and work on that one. Say the useful thing out loud occasionally, because some of it does get heard. Assume you are being observed on the days you are not trying.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Who watches you closely enough to copy your shortcuts?
