A commitment that depends on your mood is not a commitment, it is an intention. Nobody can plan around an intention, and they generally discover the difference on the day it matters most. What makes a person dependable is not enthusiasm. It is that the answer they gave on Tuesday is still the answer on Saturday.

Look at what you agreed to this month and find the one you are already renegotiating with yourself. Either do it, or tell the person now while there is time for them to adjust. Silence is the only genuinely bad option.
