Yelling about the burnt fries fixes one order. Moving the timer fixes every shift after it.

LEADERSHIP
Anger aimed at a person addresses the instance and leaves the conditions untouched, which guarantees the same mistake from somebody else next week. Most repeated errors are produced by a setup rather than by carelessness, and the fastest way to learn that is to ask what made the mistake easy. Shouting also destroys the information, since nobody explains anything to someone furious.
When something goes wrong twice, stop correcting people and look at the process. Ask whoever is nearest to it what would make the error harder to make. Change that, then watch whether the problem disappears.
