Give someone full ownership of one small piece and watch how much more they care about the whole.

LEADERSHIP
Helping with someone else’s project and owning a piece of it feel completely different from the inside. Ownership brings the small obsessions: noticing the details, thinking about it on the walk home, minding whether it is good. A borrowed task produces none of that, however important the task is.
Give one person a genuine piece of what you are doing, boundaries included, and then leave it alone. Resist correcting the parts that are merely not how you would do them. You are trading a little control for a large amount of care.
When did owning something small make you care much more?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
