Discernment asks what is missing before deciding what everything means.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
The mind builds a whole story from whatever is present and rarely audits for absence. A missing witness, an unmentioned cost, a person who has gone quiet, an option nobody has raised: these change meaning more than anything already on the table. Interpretation done only on visible material tends to be confident and wrong in the same measure.
Before concluding what a situation means, pause on the question of what is not here. Who has not spoken. What number was left out of the summary. What the person telling you this stood to gain by leaving something out. The gaps are usually where the real shape of the thing lives.
