Asking a question in class, ordering for yourself, saying no to a friend. Small brave counts too.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Courage gets pictured as something large and public, which quietly excuses you from the version that is actually available. Speaking up in a room, handling your own order, declining something you do not want: each of these costs a real amount of nerve and each one builds the same muscle the dramatic version would. The scale is small; the mechanism is identical.

Do one slightly uncomfortable ordinary thing this week and count it properly. Make the call instead of sending the message. Bravery is not stored up for a big moment, it accumulates from small ones that nobody witnesses.
