Some information is technically relevant but practically useless.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

A fact can bear on your situation and still be no use to you. It might be true but unactionable, or true at a scale that never touches your decision, or true in a way you cannot verify in time. Collecting such things feels like diligence and functions as delay. Relevance is not the same as usefulness, and the difference is whether knowing it would change what you do.

When you catch yourself researching, apply a simple filter: if this comes back either way, does my decision change. If it does not, stop looking. Keep a short list of the things that would actually move you and let the rest go by, however interesting it is.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What have you been researching instead of deciding?
