The mirror can check your hair. It can’t check your character. You have to inspect that one yourself.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Some things about yourself are easy to check because they are visible and instant. Character has no equivalent surface. There is no glance that tells you whether you have been honest lately, or fair, or steady with people who could do nothing for you. Nobody hands you that report, so it is easy to assume it must be fine.
Once a week, ask two plain questions: where were you honest when it cost something, and where did you slide. Keep the answers short and specific. The looking matters more than the verdict you hand yourself at the end.
What part of your character needs an honest look?
