An octopus can squeeze through any hole bigger than its beak. Flexibility is a survival plan.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Almost everything about you can adapt, and it is worth knowing which small part cannot. Most of what feels fixed, your preferences, your methods, your idea of how things are supposed to go, can bend when it has to. What matters is knowing the one thing that is genuinely rigid, since that determines where you can fit.

Write down the handful of things you will not compromise, and keep the list short enough to remember. Then treat everything else as negotiable, especially the parts you have been defending out of habit. Most doors that seem too narrow are only narrow where you were unwilling to change.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Where could bending save you more than standing firm?
