Maturity is noticing that many adults are still learning things you expected age to provide automatically.

The expectation is that adults arrive finished, having acquired patience, self-knowledge, and the ability to have hard conversations somewhere along the way. Then you get older and find that most people are still working on all of it, including the ones you assumed had it sorted. The competence you were waiting to be issued does not come with the years; it comes only with the work.

Let this take some pressure off. You are not behind a crowd that already knows how to do this. Pick one thing you assumed would arrive on its own, and treat it as something to actually practice this year rather than something you are late in receiving.
