There are 30 under 30 lists everywhere. Nobody makes one for the people who built something great at 50.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Early achievement gets celebrated partly because it is rare and partly because it makes a better story, and the effect is a distorted picture of when things are supposed to happen. A great deal of substantial work gets built by people well past the age those lists cover, and it goes unremarked because there is no category for it.
Rather than measuring yourself against a list, ask what you actually want to have built and how long that honestly takes. Then count forwards from now rather than backwards from an age. Nobody who benefits from what you make will ask how old you were.
