The forecast said rain all week, and then Thursday was sunny. Don’t cancel the week because of Monday’s guess.

Predictions are made with the information available at the start, and the start is when you know least. Cancelling on the basis of a forecast means acting on a guess as though it were a result, and it forfeits the days that would have turned out fine. Being wrong about the future is not a flaw in the forecast. It is what forecasts are.
When a week looks bad in advance, keep the plans and decide each day on that day’s conditions. Move things if you need to. What you are protecting is the possibility of a good Thursday.
What did you cancel because the start went badly?
