Being patient with people who are slower than you is how you prove you’re actually ahead.

LEADERSHIP
How far along you are shows up in how you handle someone who is not. Impatience usually comes from a position that is not yet secure, where another person’s slowness feels like a threat to standing you are still protecting. Anyone genuinely comfortable with what they know has no reason to hurry other people.
Use your own irritation as a reading on yourself rather than on them. When it flares, ask what you are actually worried about. Then do the slower, more generous thing, which tends to be the version that gets the work done anyway.
Who moves slower than you and gets your impatience?
