A detour is still a road. It just has more scenery than you planned for.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

An unplanned route is still movement, and it takes you through places the direct one never would have. The frustration comes from having a picture of how the trip was supposed to go, rather than from being stationary, and that picture is usually the only thing actually lost. Most people end up using what they picked up on the long way round.

If you are somewhere you did not intend to be, ask what is available here that would not be on the planned route. Take that. You are still travelling, just not on the map you drew.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Where did an unplanned turn take you somewhere better?
