Private isn’t the same as hiding. You’re allowed to keep chapters that don’t have an audience.

Not sharing something used to be the default and has quietly become the exception. Keeping part of your life unposted is not secrecy or shame, it is the ordinary condition of most of human experience, and the pressure to narrate everything is recent and not especially in your interest. Some things also change under observation.

Choose something good in your life right now and deliberately do not report it. Let it belong to the people who are actually present. Notice whether it feels different when it is not being performed for anyone.
