Running on a treadmill is a lot of motion and zero distance. Make sure you’re going somewhere.

REFLECTION
Effort and progress are different things, and effort is the one you can feel. A full, tiring day can leave you exactly where it found you, because motion satisfies the part of you that wants to be doing something whether or not it moves you anywhere. That is how months disappear while you are working hard.
Once a week, ask where you are compared with a month ago rather than how busy you were. Pick one measure that would actually change if you were getting somewhere. If nothing has moved, the problem is usually direction rather than the amount of work.
Which routine of yours has stopped taking you anywhere?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
