Age gives experience, but experience only becomes wisdom when examined.

Time gives you material, not understanding. The same event can be lived through twice with nothing taken from it, because the mind will happily file experience without ever opening it. What converts one into the other is looking back deliberately: asking what actually happened, what you contributed, what you would do again. Without that, a person can accumulate decades and repeat the same year.

Pick one significant experience and go back over it properly, in writing if you can. Not to judge yourself, only to extract what it contained. An hour spent on that will usually teach you more than the next several months of simply living through things.
