Leadership starts when you’re the first to say the thing everyone’s noticed but nobody’s named.

Groups can hold a shared observation for a long time without anyone putting it into words, because whoever says it first carries the risk of being wrong or unwelcome. Naming the thing is the actual work. Once it has been said out loud, everyone else can finally act on what they already knew.
Think of a room you are in regularly where something is going unsaid. You do not need authority to name it, only a plain sentence and a willingness to be the first voice. Say what you see without accusation, then leave space for the others to agree or correct you.
What have you noticed that nobody in the room names?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
