Audit the beliefs you inherited. Keep the gold. Politely return the ones that never fit.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Most of what you believe arrived before you were in a position to assess it, absorbed from the people who raised you along with everything else. Some of it is genuinely good and would survive any examination. Some never suited you and has simply never been looked at, because inherited things rarely come with a prompt to review them.
Take one belief at a time rather than the whole set. Ask whether you would arrive at it now, starting from what you know. Keeping something after examining it is different from keeping it by default, even when the conclusion is identical.
Which belief from your childhood home no longer fits you?
