End the day with one honest question: what did I dodge today? The answer is tomorrow’s assignment.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

What you avoided is usually the most informative fact about your day. Avoidance is quiet: no event marks it, nothing goes visibly wrong, and the thing simply moves to tomorrow again. Naming it once a day is how it stops being invisible, and most of what you dodge is smaller than the dread suggests.

Ask the question at the end of the day and answer in one sentence. Then put the answer first thing on tomorrow’s list, before anything easier. Doing it early removes the whole day of carrying it.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What did you avoid today that will still be there tomorrow?
