Before you move, check: is this a want, or just a reaction wearing a want’s clothes? In the heat they look like twins.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Wanting and reacting feel identical from the inside, especially while something stings. A reaction borrows the shape of a decision: it comes with reasons, a plan and a sense of urgency, and all of it evaporates once the heat does. Speed is usually the clue, because a real want can survive a night.
Before a move that is hard to reverse, put a day between the impulse and the action. Ask whether you wanted this last week. If the answer is no, you may still go ahead, but you will know which of the two is driving.
Which recent urge of yours was really a reaction?
