Write down what actually scares you, specifically. Vague fear is a monster; a written list is just a list.

REFLECTION
Fear works best in the dark, where it can stay large and shapeless. Written out in specific words it becomes a set of finite items, most of them smaller than the mood they were generating, and one or two of them real and worth preparing for. The vagueness was doing most of the work.
Take ten minutes and write what you are actually afraid of, in concrete terms, until the list runs dry. Read it back the next day. Mark the ones you can prepare for and leave the rest on the page instead of carrying them around.
What exactly are you afraid of, in plain specific words?
