Being early to something is lonely. Everyone thinks you’re weird until they’re asking how you knew.

Being ahead of everyone looks identical to being wrong, right up until it does not. Nobody can tell the difference from the outside, including you on the bad days, and the gap between doing the thing and being understood for it can run to years. The loneliness is real, and it is not evidence against you.

If you are working on something nobody around you gets yet, find one or two people who are also early at something. You do not need agreement, only company that does not require explanation. Keep going on the merits rather than on the reception.
