Change does not feel like change while it is happening, because it arrives too gradually to notice. You only ever see it by comparison, when something old turns up and does not match. Which means the person you are becoming is being formed by choices too small to feel like decisions at all.

Look at something you made or wrote a few years back and register the distance honestly. Then consider what you do daily now, since that is what is quietly doing the shaping. Direction matters more than speed here.
