Mystery is not ignorance when you understand exactly where knowledge ends.

CREATIVITY
Knowing that you do not know, and knowing precisely where the boundary sits, is a form of knowledge. It is different from vague unfamiliarity, which cannot say what is missing. Someone who can describe exactly what remains unresolved in a question has done real work, and their uncertainty is more informative than most people’s confidence.
When you reach the edge of what you understand, spend a moment mapping it rather than retreating. What exactly is unclear, and what would resolve it. The description you produce is useful to you later and makes it much harder to mistake a gap for a settled matter.
