Being the person who makes the plan is a skill. Every friend group has a few who’d never hang out without one.

LEADERSHIP
Organizing is invisible labor that most people never learn to value, including the ones doing it. Left alone, groups drift apart, not from any lack of affection but because nobody sends the message with a date in it. The person who does that is holding the whole thing together with about ten minutes of effort a week.
If you are that person, keep doing it and let yourself be thanked. If you are not, take one turn: pick a day, name a place, send the message. Waiting to be invited is how a good group quietly stops happening.
When did you last organize something for your friends?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
