Being loyal to family means you can still tell your cousin they’re out of line.

LEADERSHIP
Loyalty gets confused with agreement, especially inside a family where disagreeing can feel like defection. Being on somebody’s side means wanting the best outcome for them, and sometimes that outcome depends on one person being willing to say the uncomfortable thing. Silence in those moments is not kindness. It is usually just easier.
If someone close to you is doing damage, say so directly, once, and without an audience. Lead with the fact that you are staying either way. Then let them have their reaction without needing to win the exchange.
Which relative needs honesty from you more than agreement?
