If the chat goes quiet every time you post, it might not be them.

Feedback sometimes arrives as an absence rather than as a comment. If a room reliably cools when you speak, that is worth looking at plainly, without concluding that you are unlikeable or that everyone else is at fault. Something in the timing, the delivery or the content may be landing differently than you intend. It is uncomfortable to consider and it is also fixable.

Ask one person you trust to tell you honestly how you come across. Listen without arguing and thank them for it. Change one specific thing rather than deciding to go quiet altogether.
