January resolutions are easy. The honest check-in happens in March.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Beginnings are the cheap part of any change. Starting asks only for enthusiasm, which arrives free and tends to leave quietly around week six, and the version of you that made the plan is not the version who has to carry it out in the rain. What the plan was worth becomes clear later. That is the honest checkpoint and the one most people skip.
Put a date in the calendar a couple of months out to look at what actually survived. Expect to have dropped some of it, since nearly everyone does. Rebuild from whatever held instead of starting again with a new list.
Which promise from your January is still alive in March?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
