Running yourself into the ground for a 4.0 isn’t commitment. It’s a warning you’re ignoring.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

There is a point where effort stops producing the result and starts damaging the person producing it. Grades can keep looking fine while that happens, which is what makes it so hard to catch. Exhaustion gets renamed as dedication, and the signal that something has to change gets read as proof you are doing it right. The number on the transcript cannot tell you which side of it you are on.

Count honestly how many hours you slept this week and how many nights you ate a real meal. If either number is bad, cut something before the next bad week rather than after it.
