You can be the steady one for your friends and still need a night where someone else drives.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Becoming the reliable one in a group is a real role, and it quietly comes with an assumption that you do not need anything. People start arriving with their problems and stop asking after yours, not out of selfishness, but because your competence made the question seem unnecessary. Being steady most of the time is not the same as being steady all of the time. Needing a turn is not a failure of the role.

Tell one friend something true that you would normally handle alone. Small is fine. If that feels impossible, start by letting somebody do you a favour without instantly balancing it out.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

When did you last let a friend carry you instead?
