The plan B you didn’t want can still turn into a life you love. It just won’t feel like it in month one.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Early on, a second-choice path gets judged against the one you lost, and it loses every comparison. That is a timing problem rather than a verdict. Attachment comes from what you build inside a situation, which takes months, and in month one you have built nothing yet. Plenty of people end up unable to imagine the version they originally wanted, and none of them could have believed that at the start.

Give the thing you did not choose a fixed trial of a few months before deciding how you feel. Invest in it properly in that window rather than keeping one foot out.
