Working a double shift and doing homework on your break is real grit. Nobody needs to post it for it to count.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Effort does not need an audience to be real. There is a habit of treating unwitnessed work as not quite having happened, which gets it exactly backwards, since the hardest work is almost always the least visible. Nobody saw the break spent on homework. It still changed what you know and what you can do, and that was always the only part that mattered.

Notice the pull to mention it, and then do not. Not as a test of discipline, just to feel how little the work needs the mention. Keep your own count if you want one, somewhere nobody else reads.
