Plateaus in rehab are normal. A flat week still holds every inch you already gained.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Progress in healing is not a smooth line, and the flat stretches are part of the normal shape rather than a sign something has gone wrong. A week with no new gain is also not a week that lost anything. Everything you had at the start of it is still there at the end, which is the fact a plateau makes easy to forget. Flat is not backwards.

Compare where you are now with a month ago rather than with last Tuesday. The short window is too small to show anything. Then do the week’s work as prescribed and let the next gain arrive when it does.
