Late-night worry inflates problems. Write it down and look at it in daylight.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
At night your judgment about scale is unreliable. Tiredness removes your ability to put things in proportion, so problems expand to fill the available dark and every solution looks inadequate. Nothing about the problem has changed by morning, but your capacity to size it has come back. Putting it on paper does the one useful thing available at midnight, which is stopping you from solving it at the worst hour.
Keep paper by your bed this week and put the worry on it rather than turning it over. One or two lines, no analysis. Read them at breakfast and see how they look.
Which of your worries grew enormous only after dark?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
