A broken rhythm costs more energy than a slow one. Steady beats frantic.

RESILIENCE
Changing pace is expensive. Every stop and restart costs more than the same time spent moving slowly and continuously, which is why an uneven effort leaves you more tired than a modest steady one. Work behaves the same way: starting, abandoning, restarting and reorienting burns energy that never reaches the task itself. Slow and unbroken usually beats fast and interrupted.
Take one thing this week and do a small amount of it every day rather than all of it in one burst. Twenty minutes daily, even on the bad days. Then compare what you got through with the last time you tried it the other way.
What are you doing frantically that steady would suit?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
