Some coaches yell. Some teachers grade hard. Some bosses are short. Learn from the skill, not the tone.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Useful knowledge often arrives in a delivery you would not have chosen. Someone can be good at the thing and bad at explaining it kindly, and if you throw out everything they say because of how they said it, you lose the part worth keeping. Telling the two apart is a skill you will use for your whole working life.

The next time someone speaks to you more sharply than you deserved, write down the one piece of real information in it. Act on that and let the tone go. If it crosses from sharp into cruel or personal, that is a different problem, worth telling an adult you trust.
