Exhaustion lies. It tells you you’ve always been this tired and always will be. Sleep, then decide.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Exhaustion is a bad narrator. It does not report that you are tired today, it reports that this is simply how you are and how you will stay, and it says so with total confidence. That is why decisions made at two in the morning are so reliably worse than the ones made after sleep, even about identical facts.

Make a rule that nothing important gets settled while you are this tired: no quitting, no messages you cannot take back, no verdicts on your life. Sleep first, then look again. If the thing still looks the same in daylight, it is probably real and you can act on it then.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What did exhaustion convince you of that was false?
