It’s normal for confidence to lag behind the healing. The muscle comes back before the trust does.

RESILIENCE
Confidence runs behind the body. A joint can be cleared and strong while you still flinch going into it, because trust was broken by an event and gets rebuilt by uneventful repetitions rather than by a scan. That delay is normal, and it does not mean something is still wrong.
Expect a stretch where you are physically able and mentally unconvinced, and fill that gap with easy repetitions. Do the movement at a level so comfortable that nothing happens, over and over. Tell whoever is coaching you where the hesitation sits, because they can build around a specific flinch.
