Pressure feels different when you stop treating it like a threat and start treating it like a task list.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Pressure and fear share the same body, so the mind files pressure as danger and starts looking for an exit. The feeling does not change much when you relabel it, but what you do next does. A threat asks to be escaped. A list asks what the first item is, and that is a question you can answer.
When the dread arrives, write the thing out as steps on paper, however obvious they look. Three or four is plenty. Then do the first one straight away, because moving is what turns the feeling from something happening to you into something you are handling.
Could you break what feels threatening into a plain list of tasks?
