The people who stayed when it got ugly are the ones to call when it gets good.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Hard stretches sort the people around you without anybody being asked to declare themselves. Some disappear, often without meaning to, and some keep turning up when there is nothing in it for them. That is real information and it is expensive to collect. Good times attract a wider crowd, which is exactly why the sorting matters.
Write down who was actually there last time things were bad. When something goes well, tell those people first, and keep inviting them as your circle gets bigger. And be that person for somebody else this week, which usually just means sending a message when nothing is happening.
