Teaching a younger kid to tie a pointe shoe ribbon the right way is how ballet survives. Every art lives on handoffs.
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
Skills live in people rather than in books, and they continue only by somebody showing somebody else, usually through small practical details that never get written down. Each of those handoffs looks trivial and is actually the whole mechanism. Anything that has lasted is a chain of them. When a link gets skipped, the knowledge goes quietly.
Teach one small specific thing to somebody newer this month, the kind of detail you only learned by being corrected. Show it rather than describing it. And if somebody older offers you that sort of correction, take it, because it is being handed over deliberately.
What skill were you handed that you should hand on next?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
