The coworker who covered your shift so you could go to the interview is part of the job you got. Tell them.

Most achievements have other people inside them, often in small practical ways that are easy to forget once the result is yours. Somebody rearranged their day for you and probably never mentioned it again. Noticing that is partly just accuracy, since the story is not true without them, and partly how you keep people willing to do it.

Think about who made the last good thing in your life possible, then tell them specifically what they did and what it led to. Do it this week rather than someday. Thanks delivered late and vaguely does almost nothing.
