A bakery that closes when the shelves are empty has decided in advance what a good day is. Without a number like that, every day becomes a question of whether you could have done more, and the answer is always yes. More is infinite, so it can never function as a finish line. Naming your enough is what lets you stop without feeling like you quit.
Choose one thing this week and define its enough before you start. Three pages, four miles, two hours of revision. When you reach the number, stop on purpose and notice whether stopping feels like rest or like guilt.
How much would actually be enough for you this year?
