Your weird combination of interests might be your edge. Ballet and coding, farming and design. Nobody else has your mix.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Being second-best at two unrelated things can beat being good at one, because the overlap between them is nearly empty. Hardly anybody sits at the intersection of two fields, so the person who understands both can see problems that specialists in either one cannot. The interests that felt scattered are a position rather than a distraction. The mix is the rare part of it.

Write down your three strongest interests, including the one that seems irrelevant. Then look for a project that needs at least two of them. Such projects are harder to find and much easier to be picked for once you do.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which two of your interests has nobody you know ever combined?
