A dare is a choice someone else makes for you, with your name on the result.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
A dare moves the deciding to someone else and leaves the consequences with you. Whoever offered it keeps their evening either way, while the injury, the fine, the video, or the apology belongs to you alone. It works by making refusal feel like the bigger loss. For a few seconds it does feel that way.
Decide now, while nothing is happening, what you will say when it comes up, because inventing a line under pressure is much harder. Plain refusals work better than clever ones: no thanks, not doing that. If a group only stays fun while you keep agreeing, that is useful information about the group.
What have you done only because somebody asked if you would?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
